Ophthalmic Technician

CJ Lewis

CJ Lewis is an Ophthalmic Technician at North Florida Eye Center. He is originally from Tampa, Florida, and moved to Gainesville to attend the University of Florida, where he graduated this past spring. Drawn to the eye care field because it was an unfamiliar area of healthcare, CJ quickly found fulfillment in the work. His favorite part of the job is witnessing patients experience renewed vision—especially after cataract surgery—when they can finally see clearly again.

Outside of his role at the clinic, CJ is working toward becoming a certified anesthesiology assistant. His passion for healthcare and commitment to learning continue to drive his growth as he explores new ways to make a meaningful impact in patients’ lives.
